Post here to announce your Akarra shard. The post must contain:

- The name of the shard.
- An URL to a website representing the shard.
- Who is responsible for running the server (the computer that actually has the server, doesn't need to be the project leader, but this guy will always be the one people must trust)

In addition, you may post "advertisements" why people should play on your server, such as "This server has really cool spells!". You should NOT post information that changes often, such as how many players or items there are you your server, we know you have added lots!

This thread is only intended for these announcements, other kinds of posts will be deleted.

- The source code and rights of the original Whispers in Akarra project
- The original unreleased plots and graphics of old WiA that the shards do not have.
- Revamping the original material in a fresh new way that doesn't leave veteran players bored of the same old material.
- New leveling difficulty so that leveling does not slow to a snail's pace at higher levels but also does not level far too fast in the low levels. We countered the rise in difficulty for a uniform level of difficulty.

There's nothing else that I can say yet that doesn't spoil it, so I will write a more indepth description of things once it is nearing release. I may make a screenshot gallery link in the future.

The added content is by far too large to count so I will simply say this.

-Differences from Original Akarra-

Monsters- Nearly doubled some are not yet placed due to no realistic spot to place them in the current sector.(more still coming)

Items- At least doubled, all have been balanced using the same increments from original akarra.(more still coming)

Classes- Nearing completetion and a very long list that can be found in our forums. A few key features still have yet to be replicated.(all features with the exception of summoning will be implimented)

A beautiful graphics update has been implemeted, you will be able to see the difference in graphics immediatly if you havn't played since the original akarra.(This doesnt mean the old graphics were destroyed, only upgraded)

Map- The first sector has been completed with the exception of a few quests. The second sector is in production and hopefully will arrive some time this year! Wink

Quests- Few new quests have been added. The reason for this is that I am a pretty horrible quest writer and we havnt found anyone right for the job yet.(hopefully soon though!)

There are 3.5 towns technically, that have been implimented and are all able to be visited placed on the current map.(by 3.5 towns I mean that there may be a certain island that has developed a small community-like town... Very Happy )

Mounts- This is actually a pretty cool subject. There are still only horse mounts in akarra, but you are now able to 'upgrade' your horse in order to make it faster, longer lasting, and more inexpensive to feed!

Banks- Thats right, there is a very simple banking system used to store your gold for when you go on those dangerous hunts with your friends! Very Happy

Guild houses- What? did I just say guild houses? Thats right I did! There are working guild houses with a key distibution system so that only you and your fellow guild members may enter. (You may also purchase upgrades for the guild houses or design them yourself!)

Special effects- There are now a few new features added into akarra. One of them being Encumberment. It is an effect placed on heavy armors that will make you travel slower.(no more running at fast paces while wearing a suit of armor Wink ) As you know as for every negative there must be a positive, so some very hard to obtain speed items have been added into the game as well. There is a balanced shadow lurking effect also, something no assassin should be without! Wink

I am sure im leaving out alot of things, but if you want to hear about even more additions come and see for yourself at www.apocsakarra.tk . Now is definitely the time to join seeing as we had recently had our first and hopefully last character wipe to compensate for class skills adjusment.

Rules and regulations that must be followed can be found on the website under our user policy, also found there is the punishments given for disobeying the rules. I think everyone can agree on the rules that have been implimented on the server. They are very basic and are mainly common curtosy.

Up and running, nice community site + in-game community.

We do serve a big portion of humor that seem to offend a some people (so if u can't handle it, then too bad; I reserve myself the right to use a few genital words here and there without needing to warn everyone 'bout it... ).
We let ppl swear in-game in other words.

The developers have got a big portion of humor, so expect a few pranks and jokes here and there.

Nothing more to say, except that we focused on developing Akarra from the place the original Akarra staff left off.

And now I don't feel like writing anymore propaganda. lol, make ur own damn mind up!
